5 out of 5 stars Cheap is best   October 13, 2008

All compost bins work pretty much the same so the least expensive ones are the best. These bins, however, can be attached end to end to form a double or triple sized bins for really serious organic growers like me.

5 out of 5 stars Hubby was MAD I purchased this   September 18, 2008

Hubby was mad when I purchased this. "What's wrong with just a pile?"
Once it was up, the man came around.

It is waaaay larger than I thought. We don't have leaves or yard clipping (pine straw changes the chemistry) but it's pretty cool.

Grands LOVE to toss their bananna peels in.

4 out of 5 stars Better than expected   July 7, 2008

These bins are *much* larger than they look in the picture as they are expandable up to three feet across. To keep them from falling in, they do require a stake or two when fully expanded, particularly when placed on slanted ground, but I thought that was a reasonable expectation for the flexibility of the product. I like that they are open on the top to allow rain to enter and have holes on the sides for ventilation. We have a lot of leaves and grass clippings and are very happy with the amount we can fit in each bin.

I ordered this and unfortunately it keeps falling over. I wonder if the other customers put sticks to hold it straight

4 out of 5 stars Great starter composte bin!   April 5, 2008

I have looked at many websites for a composte bin for our home. With a few kids at home I cook a lot. We have scraps, we have left overs. We have a yard, so we have leaves. I hate to see waste, and felt that I really needed to recycle some of our "stuff" better. God gave us this planet, I could be doing better. When I saw this, it was my answer. We have it in our backyard and we are already seeing our kids chip in and think about our recycling efforts.
